TAGAYA プレート 19cm

本シリーズで展開するアイテムは、応量器をイメージして設計した5サイズのボウルとプレート。
ボウル、プレートはそれぞれ入れ子式に重ねられ、またプレートは同サイズのボウルの蓋としても機能し、収納性や使い勝手の良さを備えています。

The base forms consist of five sizes of bowls and plates, originally designed by Maruhiro with the image of ōryōki (traditional nested Buddhist bowls) in mind. Each piece can be stacked compactly, and the plates also function as lids for bowls of the same size, offering high usability and storage efficiency.

PATTERN
器の縁や胴部には、しめ縄やたが（箍）などかつて器を守るための梱包に用いられていた“しめる”道具に着想を得た、安田氏による黒一色の連続パターンが大胆に描かれています。
そのグラフィックは、均整のとれた構造美と装飾性を併せ持ち、江戸後期の町人文化にみる機能を上回る強調した意匠性をグラフィックの視点で再解釈したものです。

Yasuda’s bold, monochromatic graphics wrap around the rims and bodies of the vessels, drawing inspiration from traditional binding tools such as straw ropes and hoops once used in ceramic packaging.These continuous black patterns reinterpret the structural and decorative beauty of such tools—exceeding their original function and reflecting the ornamental tendencies of late Edo-period design from a contemporary graphic perspective.

安田昂弘 / Takahiro Yasuda
1985年生まれ。獅子座。名古屋市出身。2010年に多摩美術大学グラフィックデザイン学科を卒業後、株式会社ドラフトにデザイナーとして勤務。2015年に同社より独立し、クリエイティブアソシエーション「CEKAI」にアートディレクターとして所属。ブランディング、アートディレクション、グラフィックデザインを軸に、デジタル領域やプロダクトデザイン、映像、空間などの領域の仕事にも広く携わる。2015年より自身のグラフィックの新作展示を毎年開催するなど、セルフワークによる国内外での作品制作、発表も行う。身長は190cm。

Born in 1985 in Nagoya, Japan. A Leo.
After graduating from the Graphic Design Department of Tama Art University in 2010, he began his career as a designer at Draft Inc. In 2015, he became independent and joined the creative association CEKAI as an art director.

With branding, art direction, and graphic design as the core of his practice, he works across a wide range of fields including digital media, product design, film, and spatial design. Since 2015, he has presented a new body of graphic works annually, producing and exhibiting self-initiated works both in Japan and abroad.

He is 190 cm tall
