米国カリフォルニア州のユッカバレーを拠点に活動するアーティスト・Lilian MartinezとBARBARが「寿司湯呑み」でコラボレーションしました。

モーブ色のボディに、リリアンの優しく遊び心溢れるイラストが描かれた作品です。リリアンの作品の根底に流れる「有色人種の女性を主人公にし、男性社会や特権層中心のナラティブにとらわれない、新たな歴史観を探る」というテーマが、今回の寿司湯呑みでも色濃く反映されています。
This little teacup prominently features Lillian’s gentle, playful illustrations adorning a mauve body. In her work, Lillian explores alternate histories where women, particularly women of color, are not excluded from specific cultural narratives typically associated with privilege. This theme is strongly reflected in the hand-painted strokes on this teacup.
