This winter, Maruhiro presents not just collaboration goods, but beautiful art pieces born from a unique mix of cultures.

マルヒロの今回の試みは、Netflixシリーズ「ストレンジャー・シングス 未知の世界」の世界観を“磁器”という新たなキャンバスに落とし込むもの。
2種類の限定プレートでは、鍋島と古伊万里の伝統様式をオマージュし、「伝統と現代が交錯する違和感」を表現しました。
一方、HASAMIのアイテムでは、80年代のレトロカルチャーを象徴する8bitグラフィックとカラーを採用し、“ポップな楽しさと日常使いの実用性”を形にしています。
さらに、蕎麦猪口大事典の新作として《ルミナス》シリーズが加わります。蓄光転写を施したそばちょこ２種（Eleven／Boys）は、8bitのグラフィックが光をためて暗闇でやわらかく発光する仕様。《ルミナス》シリーズのみ2025年12月より発売予定。
いずれも伝統とポップカルチャーが交差する唯一無二のデザイン。シリーズのクライマックスを彩る、最終章にふさわしい豪華なラインナップです。

Art and Nostalgia Woven in Porcelain
In this collaboration, Maruhiro translates the world of Stranger Things onto a new canvas — porcelain.
The limited edition plates express the “beautiful tension between tradition and modernity,” blending the aesthetics of another world with classical design. Meanwhile, the HASAMI items capture “the everyday joy of retro pop culture,” evoking the charm of old-school video games through the lens of Hasami craftsmanship.
In addition, a new series titled “Luminous” joins SOBACHOCO Encyclopedia collection.
The two glow-in-the-dark cups — Eleven and Boys — feature phosphorescent transfer prints with 8-bit graphics that softly illuminate in the dark after absorbing light.
The Luminous series will be released in December 2025.
Each piece embodies a one-of-a-kind design where tradition meets pop culture — a truly luxurious lineup worthy of marking the climax of the series.

かつて佐賀・鍋島藩が将軍家に献上していた、日本磁器の最高峰とされる「鍋島」。その中でも、元禄期（1700年〜1720年）に生み出された「色絵宝尽文（いろえ たからづくしもん）」は、富や幸福を象徴する縁起の良い宝物を、色彩豊かに描いた格式ある文様として知られています。
本作では、伝統文様「宝尽文」をオマージュし、Netflixシリーズ「ストレンジャー・シングス 未知の世界 5」に登場する《 宝 》を想起させるモチーフを、マルヒロ独自の解釈で表現しました。 鍋島様式の美とポップカルチャーの世界が、時代と文化を超えて交差する、特別なプレートをどうぞお楽しみください。

Nabeshima ware, once presented by the Nabeshima Domain of Saga to the shogunate, is regarded as the pinnacle of Japanese porcelain.
Among its masterpieces, the Iroe Takara-zukushi-mon—a richly colored design created during the Genroku era (1700–1720)—is known as an auspicious pattern depicting treasures that symbolize wealth and happiness.

In this collaboration, Maruhiro reinterprets the traditional Takara-zukushi motif as an homage, weaving in elements that evoke the “treasures” appearing in Stranger Things Season 5.

マルヒロが手がける本作は、Netflixシリーズ「ストレンジャー・シングス 未知の世界」の象徴的な世界観を題材に、伝統的な磁器の様式である「古伊万里金襴手（こいまりきんらんで）」に落とし込んだ絵皿です。
金襴手は、1700年前後の肥前国（現在の佐賀・長崎）で完成した華やかな装飾様式であり、染付（青）と上絵付（赤・緑・黄・金など）を重ねることで、奥行きある表現を可能にしています。中でも、「窓絵」や「区画割」と呼ばれる画面構成、幾何学的・植物的な「地紋」といった要素は、この様式の代表的な特徴です。
本作品では、こうした様式美を踏襲しながら、「表の世界」と「裏の世界」を交互に配置し、ストーリーにおける二重構造を“物語性をもたせた人物文”として表現しました。江戸期の意匠と技法を通して、「裏の世界との対峙」というテーマを視覚化したこの一皿は、『ストレンジャー・シングス 未知の世界』の世界観を、現代の視点から伝統工芸という新たな舞台に展開させたプロダクトです。

This piece by Maruhiro is a porcelain plate that translates the iconic world of the Netflix series Stranger Things into the traditional ceramic aesthetic of Ko-Imari Kinrande. Kinrande is a richly decorative style of porcelain that was perfected around the year 1700 in Hizen Province (modern-day Saga and Nagasaki).
It is characterized by a layered approach, combining underglaze cobalt blue (gosu) with overglaze enamels in red, green, yellow, and gold to create visual depth.
Distinctive features of this style include mado-e (window-framed paintings), kukiwari (sectioned composition), and background patterns (jimon) consisting of geometric and botanical motifs.This work adopts those stylistic elements to depict the duality of the “real world” and the “Upside Down” in alternating compositions. The narrative structure of the show is reimagined through figural scenes with storytelling qualities, rendered in a format reminiscent of Edo-period porcelain design.
Through these historical techniques and aesthetics, the theme of “confronting the Upside Down” is made visible. The result is a plate that reinterprets the world of Stranger Things on a new stage—that of traditional Japanese craftsmanship, viewed through a contemporary lens.
